Working Together for Kiwi Recovery

Tineke Joustra is a conservation scientist with more than two decades of experience working with New Zealand wildlife, including Kiwi and Leopard Seals. As Operations Manager and Population Biologist for Save the Kiwi, she leads the national strategic framework for Kiwi conservation across Aotearoa, spanning translocations, kōhanga development, population modelling, and research planning. Tineke is committed to building robust, science-based strategies in partnership with iwi and hapū to ensure the best possible long-term outcomes for Kiwi recovery.
