It requires believable visions that uphold truth and values to be implemented.
This is what the GO Initiative is about. It brings to life the vision for Greater Ōtautahi Christchurch to become a nature-based powerhouse. Working in conjunction with multiple stakeholders we bring together a joined up approach to environmental change. Where strategies collectively make sense and are grounded in te ao Māori and wisdom. Where change-makers are aligned, gaps in action are identified and addressed – and there is accountability by all to the intended impacts.
The project joins up action for biodiversity, climate change, sustainability, circular economy, smart cities, iwi and community action, earth-aligned business, and more. All aligned to the urgent change required.
We make sure that great ideas aren’t all just talk – we turn them into reality, promptly and effectively – we make the change happen.
Ōtautahi Christchurch is a region that has been hit by devastating events, such as major collapse from earthquakes and the tragic loss of a community through a shooting. The events have brought people together and there is a strength and resilience that now sits as it’s foundation. With impending climatic extremes and rapid loss of biodiversity the region is responding in a big way. This initiative builds on an incredible collective of individuals, iwi and communities, businesses, and public agencies who are ready for action for our planet.
